Arrey Obenson, President

Executive Director of Growth and Development for Junior Chamber International (JCI)

Arrey Obenson currently serves as Executive Director of Growth and Development for Junior Chamber International (JCI) since October 2007. He joined the staff of JCI in February 2002 as membership Growth and development Director for Africa and the Middle East.

He was born on April 22, 1971 in Limbe Cameroon. Obenson holds a Master Degree in Law obtained from the Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Barrister at Law (Attorney) and is currently a member of the Cameroon Bar Association. Prior to joining the JCI World Headquarters Team Mr. Obenson served as an Associate in a Law Firm in Cameroon where most of his practice was based on civil litigations, criminal Law, commercial transactions  and international trade.

He became a member of JCI in 1995 as a founding member of his local organization, JCI Limbe Atlantic. Since joining the organization in 1995, Obenson has held several positions, including Executive Assistant to JCI World President in 2000, National Executive Vice President, National Vice President, National Secretary General of Junior Chamber Cameroon, Local President for the JCI Limbe Atlantic of Cameroon and Project Director for various projects. He is a Certified JCI Trainer and JCI Senator # 63500.

Ron Glossop, Vice President

Dr. Ronald Glossop is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He has authored three books: Philosophy: An Introduction to Its Problems and Vocabulary (1974); Confronting War (4th ed. 2001); and World Federation?  A Critical Analysis of Federal World Government, (1993). He is Chair of Citizens for Global Solutions/St. Louis Chapter and national board member of Democratic World Federalists. Glossop is President of the American Association of Esperanto Instructors and Director of the Esperanto organization "Children around the World." He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi as well as an honorary member of Rotary International.

Bob Wilcox, Treasurer

Bob Wilcox holds a Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 25 years of college teaching, he directed everything from the Greeks to Grease. His writing on theatre has appeared occasionally in scholarly journals and for thirteen years appeared regularly in The Riverfront Times, where he was for three years running voted their favorite theatre reviewer by that paper's readers. He also co-producers and co-hosts a program of local theatre news and reviews on cable television and the web called Two on the Aisle, and his reviews of local plays can be heard on KDHX radio and read in the West End Word. He's a free-lance writer, actor, and director in the St. Louis area.

Sarah Hembree, Secretary

Sarah is from Springfield, MO and served as the student representative for Drury University, UNA Board of Southwest Missouri. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009 with a B.A.in English, and is an Editorial Assistant at Elsevier. Currently, she is serving as the Secretary for United Nations Assocation of Greater St. Louis, and is interested in Middle Eastern and Russian foreign policy.

Sandra Lee, Membership Secretary

Sandra Lee is currently an administrative assistant with the Special School District in St. Louis County.  After deciding to redirect her professional career in 2007, she was accepted into the undergraduate History Program at Washington University. As Membership Secretary, she has dedicated herself to better understanding the goals of UNA and currently pursuing UNA’s mission of achieving the Millennium Development goals targeted for 2015. She plans to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in History in 2012, and further pursue her academic program studying International Affairs and Diplomacy at the graduate level. She is a student member of CASIN (Council for American Students in International Negotiations), a member of United Way’s Washington University student chapter, and a member of Washington University’s History Honor Society (Phi Alpha Theta).
